Last visit to the lake

It was my final morning in Florida so off I went for my last walk around the lake.

The mocking bird was singing away on top of the lamp post.

I will miss my morning walks around this beautiful lake. As it was my last day we decided to spend the rest of the morning at Lake Worth beach. The sky was looking a little ominous by then but the rain never lasts long in Florida so off we went.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Once the rain started it was torrential and it just didn't stop for hours. Time to go back to London!

  1. Ah well at least you will be used to the rain as you have it to come home to.

  2. My sister just told me the same thing: it rains but doesn't last long, nothing like us here in the Pacific Northwest where the rain hasn't stopped for days...

  6. Ahhhhhh---sorry the weather didn't cooperate on your last day... BUT--you got some great shots around the lake. Hope you enjoyed your visit overall.

Have a safe trip home. I posted a neat bird blog today --so you'll have to check it out once you are home.

  8. Hahaha! Nothing like a tropical downpour to put you in your place!! Sometimes there are benefits to living in an arid area ...

  12. Lovely shots around the lake. My faves are the ones of the heron(?) wading in the water. I suppose the waders move quickly when an alligator comes near!
