Harry Potter at King's Cross

For those of you who have been followers of the Harry Potter series of books this photo will take no explanation.

This is how Harry, the greatest wizard of all time, went onto the platform, at King's Cross station in London, to get the train to Hogwart's school. The wall with the railway trolley lodged halfway through is now a huge attraction for Potter followers queueing to have their photo taken pushing the trolley.
Before you ask, no I didn't have a photo taken of myself (the queue was too long!).

  1. I'm not familiar with the trolley but can understand how followers would love to queue up for a photo

  2. Isn't that something! You have connections to be able to borrow a photo. Well done!

  4. I haven't read the book, but I know about this station. A friend of mine went with her grandson to watch it.

  6. Oh, I just love it! I can see why it's a tourist attraction. We who love the stories know just what happened next! :-)

  7. I'm not a Potter fan but this is a fun way to acknowledge the huge popularity of the books and films. Is it in the re developed area of the station or somewhere else?

  10. I have just doubled my Harry Potter knowledge. My previous knowledge was the train travelling on the Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland.

  11. Would you believe we went to Kings Cross specifically so I could get this exact picture? (The grandkids wanted it...at least that was my excuse). This was in 2007; while we were in London, we also stood in a midnight queue at our local bookstore to get our copy of whichever book in the series was released while we were there. (I am really quite hopeless.)
