Art deco

Walking down Cornhill towards the Royal Exchange in the City of London, I came across this wonderful art deco building. I haven't been able to find out its history yet. It is currently a bar/restaurant.

  1. How interesting - such a classic, ancient Greek look above, and so modern below! I'm sure that there's something deep and poignant in there somewhere :)

  2. So many hidden gems in London. I wonder what the inside is like. Sometimes interesting buildings are open to the public in London Architecure week. I've seen a few of London's best art deco buildings that way.

  9. I love the building. Do you think it might be slightly older than art deco? Perhaps Art Nouveau?
