Welcome to my blog

This is it! I've given up work -retired from the rat race and am about to start on a 10 year adventure, doing all those things I've been meaning to do but never had the time to do them. I've offloaded my responsibilities and it is now my time. So follow my adventures and see whether I actually manage anything!

Tower of London reflection

There are images of the Tower of London on everything from towels to table mats but I thought this one was a little different.

I didn't realise until I  was home and looking at the photos that you can also see the towering glass building 'The Shard' behind the Tower of London. The Shard is the tallest building in Europe since it opened in February this year. The public can go up to a viewing area and see spectacular views of London, but it costs £25! I doubt I will be seeing those views for that price.

  2. How did you manage to not get yourself in the reflections? While I like the Gherkin, I am not yet sure about the Shard in the London skyline.

This reminds me that I have some reflections of the Tower Bridge that I should look at to see if they are worth posting.

  10. Yes, unique images of the Tower - and more - indeed. Like you, I wouldn't be paying that price - would rather put the money towards petrol to take me into the country! Thanks for sharing and happy weekend.
