Welcome to my blog

This is it! I've given up work -retired from the rat race and am about to start on a 10 year adventure, doing all those things I've been meaning to do but never had the time to do them. I've offloaded my responsibilities and it is now my time. So follow my adventures and see whether I actually manage anything!

Golf in Florida

The first morning after returning from New York, A and N and myself went to play golf. I loved the golf course it was more like a nature trail and I found it difficult to concentrate on the game (not that that would make any difference to the standard of my game which was pretty dismal).

The sand cranes seemed to enjoy the golf course.

The obligatory golf buggy

  6. You would have a similar experience if you came and played gold here. We have some fabulous golf course around --with great cart paths and lots of wildlife.... We live on a golf course --but neither of us has ever played golf.... ha

  8. That is something quite different from your usual walks in the UK. Funny that those birds walk around there on the golf course. Are they joining the game?

  11. Great seeing the sand crones and herons on the golf course. Thanks for commenting on mine and most of the people were in the main mall part. It wasn't as quiet as it looked like from my shots of the "commons" part.

  12. Wow - the Sandhill Cranes are amazing. We saw them in Wisconsin last year. Are they year round in Florida? There are huge migrations through Western WA - but we haven't been over there yet to see them - one day.
