As we were walking past Central Park we came across a couple getting married. At first I thought it was a publicity stunt or some film being made. But no, they were actually getting married on the pavement next to a busy set of traffic lights, outside the park. I think you would only see this happening in the USA. Let's hope that spot on the pavement was of considerable significance for them as I can think of no other reason why you would choose such a place for what is a momentous moment in your life.
Subtitled, only in America.
ReplyDeleteWell, I was married in freefall, since it was significant to both of us, how we met... I wonder if this is where they met! :-)
ReplyDeleteMet my wife in a pub not sure that would have ben the best place to marry.
DeleteA day in the life in New York City. I used to work downtown and there were often newlyweds on the subway who had been married at the City Clerk's office.
ReplyDeleteCould have first met here there or proposed.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how significant, I still wouldn't want to get married there.
ReplyDeleteWhen you think of all the wonderful sights around New York it's unusual that they have chosen this particular spot. I tend to agree with the others that maybe this is where they met and therefore to them a very special place.
ReplyDeleteI love her outfit. The dresss! The shoes!!! May you photo be pinned?
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's pinning it to either my "Random Cool Things" or "Travel"boards on Pinterest :-)
DeleteA rather poor location on the pavement there.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they met on this spot as they were both driving by ;-)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely "Only in America"! :p
