The torch

Unfortunately I missed the Olympic torch relay going through my area as I was at work but then I discovered there were 2 torches in the village! This one is on display inside the bank.

I was very lucky to be allowed to hold this one and have a photo taken.

  5. Oh, that is an awesome picture of you holding the torch. It brings back memories of when the Winter Olympics were in BC in 2010. Despite the pros and cons about the event before it happened, the excitement was undeniable when it actually arrived. I was lucky enough to see the torch passed twice in different communities. :)

  24. Wow! That was lucky (an honor) to get to hold that torch! I am excited to watch the Olympics, because of the sport of course, but also because when we were in London in 2007, we were watching the very beginnings of the project to renovate that area for it....I hope I see some things I remember!!!!
