Happy New Year from London
I always like to look back over the year and think about the highlights, which this year would naturally be the birth of my granddaughter. Such a little miracle, she has brought so much joy to the family. Of course, I started this blog to record my attempts at overcoming the challenges on my bucket list. So did I manage any this year? Well yes I did, I managed nine altogether: Walking in Darwin's footsteps on the Galapagos Islands; watching the New Year's Eve fireworks; tour of the Houses of Parliament; finding the London Stone; climbed a volcano; visited Highgate Cemetery; walked around Constable country in Dedham; climbed to the top of St Paul's Cathedral; got onto Eel Pie Island and visited 5 new Museums. Another treat this year was meeting up with fellow bloggers:
Cynthia from I'm retired- adventures of a simpler life.
Marcia from Birds, Blooms, Books etc
Not forgetting all the way from Oz Andrew from High Riser and Stewart M from Paying Ready Attention
May 2015 be a marvelous adventure
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I had my third gathering of other bloggers this fall, and I look forward to next year! :-)
ReplyDeleteNow then, have you got a ticket for this year's fireworks?? I wish you a very Happy New Year, and maybe we will meet up in 2015 when I am on one of my many jaunts in London :-) xx

ReplyDeleteWow! You've really achieved much from your bucket-list in 2014. The adventure I would most probably love to duplicate would be your walk around Constable Country in Dedham.

Yikes I saw my face at first, lol ! Your year was nicely fulfilled ! Can't complain about mine neither. Hope to meet you again this summer or maybe earlier. The house in London is now empty and if it's possible I take the opportunity and go there to spend some days.

ReplyDeleteWow! You've made wonderful progress on your bucket list and also meeting fellow bloggers. You'd think living in Vancouver on the west coast I would have a chance to meet many blogger too but so far I've only met one who used to work here. I had to travel to Africa to meet the other one, lol! I hope to meet more in future just like you are doing. Have a very wonderful 2015 and may you continue to meet more bloggers and cross more items off your bucket list.

Happy New Year .. What a great year... Thanks for sharing it and look forward to your new adventures.
ReplyDeleteWow! I have not made a bucket list but go on with my day-to-day life, unwritten goals loosely articulated in my mind. But, reading what you have accomplished, I'm thinking it may not be a bad idea to put a few of my dreams in writing. You have done so much; I would have been thrilled to do half as many of the things you show here. Bravo to you! Wonderful that you met so many bloggers too, some of whom I also "know" through occasional comments from them. Thanks, Fun60. I am inspired! I was also interested in your comment about the cyclists who do tricks. I hadn't thought of how they could apply their problem-solving techniques to other aspects of their life. Here's to a lively and event-filled 2015 for you.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how many items you have on your bucket list? You seem to be crossing them off. I hope that doesn't mean it is ttime to kick the bucket!
ReplyDeleteI have a new granddaughter this year to. isn't it wonderful!
My goodness you have met a lot of bloggers!
Happy New Year
