Each year since 1947, a Christmas tree has been given to the people of London from the people of Oslo in gratitude for Britain's support for Norway during WW2. Here is the tree for 2014 reflected in the fountains in Trafalgar Square.
This tradition is truely a lovely tribute... And a beautiful one too : the lights on the tree reflection in this pool are so magnificent... The choice of colors for the illumination of both the fountain and the tree is quite wise, too.
The lights make the city so pretty.
