This Ming Dynasty garden is the first one built outside China. It opened in 1986 and recreates the private areas you would find in a Ming scholar's home. Inside the Hall of One Hundred Rivers was this beautiful silk embroidered screen. The reflection made it look as though the butterflies had just flown in through the window.
Hand laid pebbles in the main courtyard reflects the yin and yang with a balance of rough and smooth stones.
