Busking

An age old way of performing, busking seems to have reached new heights. I have heard such talented musicians  on the streets of London. Walking along New Bond St I heard a beautiful piece of classical music being played on a violin. At first I assumed it was coming from a shop or car radio but no it was live music. I asked if I might take his photo. It was so cold I don't know how he managed to play.

  5. In Bellingham buskers must apply for a license in order to play at the Farmers' Market. They all take turns at the spots where they are allowed to gather an audience. I sure do enjoy them.

  6. Buskers can make a visit to any community so much brighter. Many of them are incredibly talented and enjoy the challenges that performing outdoors can bring. This fellow’s yellow violin would brighten any street and it seems to be electric!

  8. We have a the occasional busker here to but they struggle with the heat, not the cold. Love the London bus in the background!

  9. Fabulous! And what a cheerful violin! :o)

When I lived in Liège (Belgium) several years ago, I was once surprised to come across a string quartet playing some lovely music in the street! I came across them several times over the years... always smart enough to find a place to play that had some cover from the eternal Belgian rain...
