Chanukah

This is a Menorah that has been erected in Trafalgar square this week in celebration of the Jewish festival of Chanukah. The festival lasts eight days and each day another light  on the Menorah is lit.

  2. That must look very nice and what a good idea ! I can't say this from Brussels, they put the ugliest Christmas tree of the world in the middle of the Grand'Place ! Have a look ! http://gattinawritercramps.blogspot.be/2012/12/brussels-uggliest-christmas-tree.html. amongst other excuses for this thing was that they didn't want to offend the muslims with a traditional Christmas tree ! I spent twice Christmas in Egypt and the two towns I stayed were full of Christmas decorations, I even saw a Father Christmas on a camel coming out of the airport !
