Art in the Park at Tatton

Walking through Tatton Park in Cheshire I came across some very strange installations. Apparently they were part of an exhibition called 'Flights of Fancy'. I photographed the accompanying explanation. Much better than me trying to precis it.

This is a photograph taken through the window of the van, hence the reflection of the trees.

The microphone was huge. At first I couldn't work out where the sound of aircraft  was coming from and then I looked up.

I loved this one. It just looked as though the giant balloons would float away taking the bridge with them.

  16. Hi there - I think I like the ballon bridge most.

Dubai was a long way to go for a week - but thats work I suppose. I think more and more people will end up going there as its become a very importanat "hub" for air flights. It does have a certain interest - but I think I may prefer it during the winter!

  27. I'll have to say, I've had a lot of fun just going back over many of your posts. You have really had a wonderful time since last November - in fact, quite an adventure with the paralymics and all the other things you've done and seen, like this exhibit. Amazing! Lucky you! And you are so smart to be doing it Now and not later! Look forward to reading some more of your adventures :)

  28. I like the bridge very much, the other items are also very original. The only thing which bothers me with modern "Art" is that you need to read an explanation to understand the meaning ! We had a modern Art exposition here in Waterloo and amongst other strange paintings and sculptures there were 4 white cushions nailed on a wooden board. I honnestly prefer them on my sofa !

  29. What a fun exhibition! Our dreams to fly into the air never ends. Like an amphibian car, there will emerge a car that can fly. I like the idea of Balloon Bridge and its form is beautiful.
