40 minutes in Trafalgar Square

It is only a few more days before I set off on 'The Big Trip' (more about that later). Consequently I am rushing around  at the moment sorting things out and am in town quite often. Today as I was crossing Trafalgar Square I noticed a new addition which turned out to be a sound box.
I ventured inside and experienced a completely different world as all the sound of the city disappeared. I was surrounded by a different sound that of a newly composed work. It was beautiful - a real treat.
It was much lighter inside than I had imagined.

Leaving the sound box I wandered back up the steps and walked into a film set.
It hadn't been cordoned off, as is usual when filming is taking place, so I was able, along with other bystanders, to stand and watch.

The stance of a main actor do we think?

Let the dancing begin.

After watching for a little longer I forced myself away as I really needed to be at the travel agency before lunch. Just a short walk away I encountered an astronaut coming towards me to shake my hand. Why? I have no idea but I do wonder why I am going away for 6 weeks when I have so many unusual experiences on my doorstep.

  1. What a nice surprise ! often London is full of surprises. Yes, sometimes I also wonder why I want to travel as there are so many interesting things to see or happen in Brussels too. But I think I can do this later, as long as I am able to travel I will do it ! Where are you going ?
End November as each year I'll spent 2 weeks at the Red Sea to cut the winter and next year in Mai probably I'll do a roundtrip through Jordan with my girlfriend.

  2. Well, London is a special place, that's for sure. But I would bet that if I walked down the street in Trafalgar Square that I would meet these characters! Must be you!! :-)
