Windsurfing at Whitstable Bay.

This is Whitstable Bay off the Kent coast which is just an hour's drive from London. So when I knew C, a fellow blogger from Minnesota wanted to see a fishing village, not too far from London, this was the obvious choice. The sun was shining as we strolled along the coastal path listening to the screeching of the seagulls.

The tide was out and being a pebble beach there were not that many children playing although these two had braved the cold waters and been in for a paddle.

There was lots of activity out on the water with the sailing dinghies and the windsurfers.
I loved watching this surfer skimming across the water. But it was also fun watching the beginner.

Ready

Steady

Almost

Whitstable is also famous for its oysters

Did we or didn't we?

Well, I couldn't let a visitor not try the local delicacy now could I?

Followed, of course by fish and chips!

  3. That was such a fun day, and the best fish & chips ever! I could eat them every day. Maybe not the oysters, though. Now you need to come to Minnesota and try walleye right out of the lake and into the frying pan.

  9. Slightly alarming headline. I didn't recall windsurfing being on your bucket list. I love oysters, at least half a dozen, preferably more.
