Snowdrops

Looking at the garden this morning all I could see was the saturated ground with lots of puddles everywhere. We've had the snow and then so much rain I wasn't really surprised at the mess. The advice to gardeners (not that I would count mysel fas one) is to wait until the ground dries up before doing anything. It just looked so dull and depressing. Then out of the corner of my eye I spotted a couple of flowers. Not just any old flowers but snowdrops. Oh the joy. I don't even remember planting them in that particular area but that just added to the surprise.

  2. Do they know we are getting some more cold yet? They are brave flowers to come out at this time.

  5. Thank you for visiting my post on our world tuesday . It's all about the Flood that struck our Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines last December. We are directly hit with the flood. It washed out 60% of our subdivision. I greatly thank God that we survived...

  6. While our winters are not so severe, I can well imagine the excitement at seeing a first sign of spring. I hope the snowies are smart enough to flower only once the extreme cold has ended.

  7. I, too, noticed the snow drops coming up already. Even my tulips are coming up, broke through the soil.

  8. The first spring sign ! How nice ! Our front garden looks rather funny, I had put some fake flowers in the pots together with the once which were still standing, I never had the opportunity to take them out (rain, snow, etc) so they were there "blooming" through the snow and now still blooming in the rain ! I am the only house with flowers in the garden, lol !
