Yesterday on a very cold and dreary day in London, I went to visit the new shopping centre, Westfield, which has been built at Stratford next to the Olympic Park. Whilst browsing in John Lewis I noticed what a fantastic view they had of the Park. It was such a pity the weather didn't do the view justice.

This place will surely look very different in a few months, but it's really cool to see it now, before all the festivities begin. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhen I was in London last year it rained so much that I couldn't do my annual visit coming back from Eastbourne, before I returned to Brussels. It seems to look very nice.

ReplyDeleteHi there - splendid blog. Like the 'bucket lists' - I think you should add "Go see the Puffins on the Farne Islands" and have a "Yorkshire Fat Rascle at Bettys in York" - but who am I to say such things.
ReplyDeleteWhy not love the beach from the start? Sand in your binoculars and cameras, sand in your sandwiches, sunburn and no shade. You can (and I have) learnt to cope with these things - but getting a snorkel, mask, fins and a waterproof camera changed the deal. But I still think I'd rather take a walk in the hills!
