Signs of Spring

Out for a walk this week in Kent I was surprised to the lambs out in the fields, but then it has been a very mild winter here, so far.

  4. They are just the cutest. The grass is looking really green for winter. We are having a very mild one also.

  6. Sweet, and I see there is a black sheep in the family. Isn't there always. I wonder if you hear like we do from media here in winter, There is a sheep graziers warning alert for...(some part of the state). It means cold and or wet weather.

  7. Same here ! weeds are coming out and flowers start to bloom and today we have 12° and it rains cats and dogs ! Not normal at all ! After more then 40 years in the same house I have enough ! It's too big for the two of us and then there is the garden. We can't do anything anymore and I have to find people to do the work for us. There are no fields and cows around here and all our old neighbors moved away or passed away ! Now I want to be more in the city center and in an apartment close to everything. Waterloo is a small town. Ric doesn't care as long as we stay in Waterloo close to his Whist Club !

  9. Nature is confused this year, no winter at all. We saw a duck with 5 young ones here, in January!

  12. Most animals, I think, have a 6th sense about weather. Cute lambs

  14. At home (in Oregon) the farmers now raise Fall lambs as well as Spring ones. The first time we saw the Fall ones was quite disorienting ... for a minute or two there, I thought I’d lost track of the seasons.
