Winter Lights

This week is the 'Winter Lights' festival at Canary Wharf in Docklands. Here are a few of the exhibits.

This was one of my favourites. At first I couldn't work out what it was and then realised the droplets of water were illuminated and created words.

  1. I love those. Can't even really pinpoint my favourite, although the people on the bench and the squiggly things around the mouse (that's what the sculpture makes me think of) are very high up!

  2. Quite inventive. I too like the sculpture of the three on the bench seat and it was be nice if it became permanent.

  10. Nice to have the lights and color to brighten up the winter scene. I have photographed the three people on their cell phones on the park bench. I thought it was a good social comment on our times. The water one where the droplets form words — very creative!

  11. Clever mood lighting that even knows how to spell and make words. The statues were especially poignant showing folks looking into their tiny screens and not talking among themselves.

  14. Those photos are so impressive. Taking pictures of lights and illuminations in the darkness is quite a skill. I wonder if you've visited Blackpool Illuminations.
