At the weekend I met up with a couple of friends to go and visit the 'Destinations' exhibition at Olympia, Earls Court in London. As it is always at the end of January it is the ideal time to look for new places to visit.
There are lots of different stands from the familiar ones
to the not so familiar.
This is the Gadventure stand, the company that I usually use especially when I am travelling solo.
There were also many talks happening during the day. I listened to a couple of them.
These slides are from a talk on Jetlag which was very interesting.
Your posts on your travels are always interesting. Look forward to your next trip!
ReplyDeleteI like the setting!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a bright future of traveling ahead in 2020. My favorite traveling tip is Arnica Gel in case of the unexpected. It was remarkable how after a fall during a trip and a big swollen bruise the gel got rid of the pain and bruising in relatively short order.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your annual travels. Thanks for the preview!
ReplyDeleteahhh yes, I remember the old Earl's Court Exhibition Centres :)
ReplyDeleteHello, looks like a great travel expo. I enjoy planning a trip, this would give lots of ideas. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great new week!
ReplyDeleteOh yes that is always exciting to see where you can go to in the world.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea to be pitched by the possible places to visit. Don't think we have such an event but we should have. Enjoyed the tips. Visiting vastly different time zones could be a problem.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear what you've chosen. As I was looking at these photos I got to wondering if the young woman who writes the "A Lady in London" blog was there. She has traveled the world and now lectures and writes about travel. I follow her blog for two reasons, one - I love London and she has lots of photos from there and two - she has my dream job. If I was young, her job would suit me perfectly.
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait to hear your plans and see where you are taking us this year!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fantastic Exhibition - I'm sure you picked out somewhere new and interesting to travel to.
ReplyDeleteOur tourist industry is suffering so badly after the bush fires and now the virus. We desperately need tourists. Come here again and see different places.
ReplyDeleteMaybe a bit closer to home north to south so as to avoid the jet lag? How about Portugal?
ReplyDeleteMy destinations are set as well for 2020: Netherlands and perhaps Norway if I can wrangle it.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward where your travels will lead you this year.
ReplyDeleteWe have or had the same here with all travel agencies, I didn't go, because I always use the same and this year I am not sure about nothing because I want to move out of the house and into an apartment !
ReplyDeleteLooks interesting! Looking forward to hearing more about your destination.
ReplyDeleteMy family mock me for all the plans and ideas I have for trips - this looks like my kind of event!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
That exhibition was full of the stuff of dreams... can’t wait to find out which one you will act on!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see an exhibition like that.
ReplyDeleteI haven’t seen such an event like that being held in a long time. I too would so enjoy it,a
ReplyDeleteExhibits on these subjects are excellent. Traveling always needs extra pecaustions.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to an exhibit like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I used to work for a company that also organized travel events like this. A great place to find travel ideas!
ReplyDeleteI hope you found lots of material. Happy tripping in 2020. :)
… I'm just wondering what you've chosen!?
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
