The Cloisters.

These photos are from my recent visit to Naples. The 14th century arches provide a beautiful backdrop to the garden behind Santa Chiara church.

The garden was designed by Vaccaro in 1739.









There are 72 octagonal pillars punctuated by seats.
They are all decorated with Majolica tiles painted by Donata and Giuseppe  Massa.
