Kensington

This Chandelier is in a shop window just round the corner from High Street Kensington, London. Someone told me it has been in the window for at least two years. There was no price tag!

Another building of interest is the Nat West Bank on Kensington High Street with its magnificent facade.

The mosaics on the building are quite high up and difficult to see but zooming in with the camera gives you an idea of the intricate designs.

Unfortunately I could find no information about the building other than it is currently a bank. Maybe someone else knows more and would like to share their knowledge.

  1. I think that chandelier is waiting for you to take it home! Beautiful mosaics and interesting building. What's on top?

  2. I see a chandelier and I think how the devil do you clean them. Strange that the mosaics are so high that they are not really visible. The building has a rather strange roof arrangement.

I've walked in High Street and it really is a very salubrious area..

  6. I like the carvings over the door too ... Lovely building. Maybe not too many homes these days in the market for that chandelier ...it's probably larger than either of our homes ! But it is gorgeous.

  14. The reflections of the chandeliers make them almost as big as the buildings. Incredible shots.. especially the second one. I love seeing the old buildings and facades as well. Great post, Fun60!
