Olympic Pool reopens

The 2012 London Olympic Aquatics centre is now open to the public. On my visit to Stratford last week I was able to go in and have a look around. Next time I go I will take my swimming gear and follow very slowly in the swimming strokes of the champions!

 Doesn't it look so inviting?

You would never get me on those diving boards.

With the water being so still, there were lots of reflections to be seen.

This is the second pool which is used mainly for swimming lessons.

  4. Very blue and it looks great. Let the crowds come. I remember seeing the red spiral tower from a distance.

  5. It looks wonderful -- inviting (except for the diving boards -- I dived once to pass a swimming exam (about a century ago) and that was enough! Love to swim though and it would be amazing to be in that pool. I hope you go again and post about it. Marvelous it is open for the public.

  9. Doesn't it look just fantastic. I am so proud of what was achieved during the Olympics and so glad that places like this remain for use for many years to come (I hope).

  10. That's great they have re-opened the Olympic Pools ... that would be fun to actually swim where those super-fish swimmers have swam albeit at a much slower pace.

  11. That is a fancy and NICE aquatic center.... Glad they are able to use the Olympic spaces that way... I'd love to swim in a pool that was once used at an Olympic event... NEAT.
