Yarn bombing on Day 2 of my Thames walk

Yarn bombing is a form of street art or knitting graffiti. I have seen it in different parts of the world but on Day 2 of my Thames walk I spotted these trees which had been bombed.

A more sophisticated piece of fair isle knitting adorned this hand rail.

  4. I have heard of this, and your pictures made me wonder anew: they must pre-knit most of it and then close it up? They sure can't be doing the entire thing while standing there, than they? :-)

  7. I've never heard of such a thing, but this is awesome! Looks like the trees are all wearing 80s legwarmers. :)

  12. That's amazing on how people put their creativity on the trees like that!

  13. Yes, I have seen it here too, don't know what to think of it. Nature is nature and doesn't need anything added to it. Especially not a knitted branch. But who am I?

    Cheers from Cottage Country!
