Blackfriars Bridge

This enormous iron coat of arms was displayed at each end of the old  Blackfriars bridge. This was the first railway bridge to be built over the Thames taking trains into the Blackfriars terminus in 1863.

  5. That's an impressive coat of arms - and I don't even need to brush up on my non-existent Latin to understand it!!!! I hope it's there for another 150 years!!
