Home schooling with a difference today as we had a quite a snowfall overnight.
It was all about snowman building,
making bird feeders (the seeds and fruit are not frozen but held together by fat);
and of course - sledging.
It was good to be able to do something different. Lockdown is hard on the children as they are desperate to be back at school with their friends. it will be at least a month before that happens.
Looks very cold there.
ReplyDeleteThe best kind of weather one can ask for.
ReplyDeleteFun post and photos ~ snow is for the children ~ Liked it when I went skiing ^_^

So glad they got such a great break in the monotony. That looks like a really fun day.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so pretty. Children can cope with a lot and I don't think the lockdown will cause long term problems as long as their education continues. I bet those bird treats didn't last long.
ReplyDeleteI love that snowman. I hope if we get snow it will be enough to make one! And good on you for making that homemade suet block for the birds. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood for you, making the most of the weather.
ReplyDeleteI will be thinking of you as I put on my bathing suit this afternoon :) Drinks will be served by the pool.. you are very welcome.
ReplyDeletehurray for snow!
ReplyDeleteIt seems we both had the same idea ! Showing our surroundings in the snow, lol ! Happens not very often !
ReplyDeleteWow you got that much up in London, we only had a sneeze of it here
ReplyDeleteAt last some fun outside!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing lost of snowy pictures from the UK - looks like you are having a real winter!

The schools here were supposed to open again yesterday, but not all of them managed as not all of the teachers could make it to school. But the children (and teens for that matter) love the snow and are out and about sledging and throwing snow balls.
ReplyDeleteYes, home schooling looks great fun here :)
ReplyDeleteIt has not been easy for children and their parents/carers during this lockdown.
It seems the earliest English Schools could be back is March 8th!
Take care.
All the best Jan
That's not a bad days at school with snowmen and bird feeding... it all looks very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWren x
Kids + snow = fun! Nice snowman. I hope the birds found their treats to their liking.
ReplyDeleteThose bird feeders made with fat are always popular in the Winter, I"ll be making one here too come May/June.
ReplyDeleteWell that is the best kind of school. Believe it or not we are expecting s wow this weekend in Texas.
ReplyDeleteIt’s very pretty. And Wow,you really did get snow. Probably would have been a snow day off from school even without the Covid lockdown, so I guess that’s one good thing because otherwise you wouldn’t have been there to enjoy it with the grands. (And really that’s the only way I can think I would really enjoy a snow day now.). The bird feeders are so clever!
