I am on a train in Edinburgh on my way to a popular tourist spot. I was the only one on this carriage as it left Edinburgh. Only one other person boarded the train before I got off four stations down the line. I can only assume this is in part due to the corona virus as the weather was glorious.
This is where I was headed.
This is where I was headed.
Yes everything comes to a standstill at the moment.
ReplyDeleteEverything around here is shutting down, and the restaurants are open but many have hardly any customers. I was going to the movies tomorrow, but I've changed my mind.
ReplyDeleteIt seems are slowly abandoning outside entertainment in favor of cocooning during this time. I know I am much more careful today and will not attend anything with large groups.
ReplyDeleteI didn't recognize your destination. Will you get to Dunblane? Home of your favorite tennis player?
ReplyDeleteAn empty train seems unheard of to me.
ReplyDeleteThings are definitely slowing down at the moment.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit.
All the best Jan
Things are quite chaotic at the moment.
ReplyDeletePractically had buses to myself when I traveled to dd's on Thursday. I love Edinburgh.
ReplyDeleteThe international and national sports events are either cancelled or largely empty :(
ReplyDeleteHow nice to travel so peacefully if it weren't for the awful circumstances that caused it. Hope you're enjoying your travels and get home safe and well.
ReplyDeleteIn Poland public transport is almost empty because of Corona virus too.
ReplyDeleteOur street is empty. There are plenty of children, who don't go to school, but nobody is out at all. It's a bit eerie.
ReplyDeleteHow calm and relaxing to have a whole coach nearly to yourself, and no crowds. We are doing beach and nature walks and things have just begun to close down here today. But we can always enjoy the parks so we are content!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip. We are socially distancing ourselves due to Bills heart condition and our daughter's concern for us.
ReplyDeleteWith pray and hope...
