Nayland, Suffolk

I am away for a week with my daughter and the two grandchildren. This was booked long ago. Had we known the 4 yr old would be in a full leg plaster cast we would not have chosen this hilly site however it is beautiful.

The lodge we are in is the first one just through the gate. It is quite small but big enough for the four of us and has a hot tub at the back.
The farm also has a tennis court, indoor swimming pool, playground etc so lots for the children to do.
There are animals that the children can feed such as chickens, horses and pigs. They can also collect eggs from the chicken coup if they want.
There are a number of large solar panels that provide the energy used by the properties.

We are surrounded by beautiful  scenery but we are finding it very physical pushing a buggy across and up the fields and then carrying him into the lodge.
Sorry I haven't  commented this week but my phone just puts me down as anonymous and to be honest I can't  be bothered  to try and sort it at the moment.

  2. That does look a nice place to go and no one else around like the caravan site we go to. Last time we went it was like a beach with so many people by the lake. Selfies in the hot tub

  3. Hard work to see places but in spite of the dried off grass, it looks and sounds rather nice.

  4. I can imagine the grandchildren having a great time, even with plaster. Feeding animals, collecting eggs, running around the tennis court, hot tub and swimming pool, crawling around the solar panels... Hell, even adults would love it :)

  5. Looks like a really nice spot especially for the kids to run around, personally I think that every new house should be built with solar panels.

  8. No need to apologize -- you are with your family on this getaway! (And besides, I can almost never figure out how to blog or comment when I'm on a trip and its just two grown-ups). It looks like a beautiful place for a multi-generational getaway, although as you say it would have been easier without a broken leg in the party! (Hope the little guy is recovering well).

  9. Siempre surgen imprevistos, ajenos a nuestra voluntad. En España, se va utilizando los paneles solares, cada vez más.

  10. Somehow I missed this post last week. Anyway I hope you had a good time and your grandson is doing ok with his plaster cast. Must be horrible in this heat! The place looks lovely.
