As my regular readers will know, a few years ago I set myself the challenge of visiting every one of the 270 underground stations in London to photograph and research places of interest in the vicinity of the stations. I have been doing this now for almost five years and have only just completed four out of the eleven lines and visited 104 stations. I keep saying I need to speed things up and this year have set a target of two per month. I have just completed the Circle Line which was overflowing with places of interest.

It was an amazing undertaking. But don't give up yet. I'm seeing parts of London I'll never get to see.
ReplyDeleteThe link says I can’t go there! Is there another way i can access?

Thanks for letting me know.
Quite an undertaking!
ReplyDeleteYou are compiling a wonderful history here.

That's already 5 years you started ??? It seems to me you started a year ago !
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a huge undertaking but I don't think it matters how long it takes or if you even complete it. You enjoying doing it is what matters.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a goal! I admire you for doing it. On one of my last visits to London I had a goal of going all the way to the end of one of the lines and I ended up choosing Amersham on the Metropolitan line. I spent a wonderful afternoon wandering the quiet streets of Amersham before returning to London. I even did a bit of shopping in a gift shop on the High Street. I have great memories of that adventure.
