More London

7 More London Riverside. Designed by Norman Foster and partners. This is the final and largest building within the More London development. It is home to Price Waterhouse Coopers. The development overlooks the Thames on the opposite bank to The Tower of London. The building's symmetrical wings open out towards the river. The curved links between the buildings that you can see here are bridges linking the two wings.

Can see Tower Bridge reflected in the building?

The terraced building in front is reflected in the glass building to my left making it look like one continuous building.

  1. I don't like this part of ultra modern London. It could be everywhere, personal charm is missing. I agree that some areas are old and rotten and have to be renovated, but not replaced with glass boxes !! The whole old part of Brussels around the North Station has been demolished too and looks the same. I didn't find my way anymore when I got out of the train ! And I had been so often in this area when I was still working !

  3. I rather like this modern building -- as long as they don't tear down the listed buildings (and I did recently look up what the various classifications mean) I like the mix of styles .

  7. Very good reflections and you don't do a half bad job in architect speak but I don't know that I am so keen on it. I would like to see it in person.

  12. I think every office is one with a view in that building. So much glass! Glass buildings can be interesting but I'm rather tired of them. There are too many.

  16. Wow - talk about "... and now for something completely different !"
While I have a preference for older architecture styles, must admit I was encouraged by the imagination used to create this building - a welcome change from the "usual" glass & concrete boxes! Thanks for sharing Marie.
