The sculpture is formed from 1,5m long lengths of steel which seem randomly arranged. However in the centre you can clearly see a 20m high human body. At the time of construction in 1999 this was the tallest sculpture in the UK.

hm, interesting
ReplyDeleteFascinating! I can see the human in there.
ReplyDeleteThat's an impressive sculpture. I'd love to ride that cable car, I bet it has some fantastic views.
ReplyDeleteIt works well with the grasses.
ReplyDeleteNot really my taste, the artist has a lot of fantasy !
ReplyDeleteSo cool,I can make out the human in the cloud
ReplyDeleteAh, the tallest, the Emirats thought that was important for them and London?
ReplyDeleteI probably need new glasses, because I had to look and look to find the 'clearly visible' human figure! It is a nice sculpture though. Didn't he also do the Angel of the North?
ReplyDeleteA very intriguing sculpture! I'd love to see London from those cable cars!
ReplyDeleteBoth sculpture and the cable car is impressive. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI had to look a little harder than I am used to doing to find the person -- and slowing down to look and think is good for us in these hectic times. I like it very much.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the pic in my feed I wondered why you were talking about a sculpture when all I could see was the cable car tower lol. The sculpture is definitely impressive especially when you see the body inside it.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this before...Very unusual
ReplyDeletevery cool sculpture
ReplyDeleteGreat shot with the large sculpture framed by, and dwarfed by, the cable tower which is a work of art itself.
ReplyDeleteI like Gormley's work and didn't know about this one. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGood idea for the sculpture, looks a bit like a tree, and then the human form in it.
