Welcome to my blog

This is it! I've given up work -retired from the rat race and am about to start on a 10 year adventure, doing all those things I've been meaning to do but never had the time to do them. I've offloaded my responsibilities and it is now my time. So follow my adventures and see whether I actually manage anything!

Today is Remembrance Day and at the eleventh hour of the eleventh month people were gathering in Trafalgar Square  to observe two minutes silence.

  7. We were at Peterborough's war memorial yesterday. To stand with 100's of others in total silence thinking about those who have given their lives is very humbling. Take care xx

  9. In the current climate it is so important that we never forget but sadly it looks like some have done exactly that

  11. In my local town centre on Saturday I saw 15/20 young teenagers selling poppies. Their parents should be very proud of them.

  12. Except the fact that it was a day off I haven't seen anything special going on here. Maybe in Brussels. You have now Google+ ? Fortunately I could comment here, because some have Google + without link to their blog and I can never comment because I don't like it, it's just like a bad copy of Facebook. Or is there anything interesting with Google+ ?
