When I was walking the Thames path in 2013 I promised myself that I would return to Henley-on-Thames in the Autumn to see the beautiful colours by the river. So a couple of weeks ago, before I went to Vienna, I traveled back to Henley. However, I was too early to see all the changes of colour.
Nevertheless it was a beautiful day for a walk by my favourite river and was able to admire the many reflections in the water.

What a great place to walk with just a hint of autumnal colourings. Funnily enough my blog today is about Henley Beach here in Australia & I guess it was most probably named after your Henley in England but two very different places.
ReplyDeleteLooking out across water creates incredible moods in your psyche. It is an amazing process. Almost as peaceful as sitting and stroking your lapdog.
ReplyDeleteLovely spot and the weather clearly co-operated.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so pretty. I adore the ones of the gorgeous homes. I cannot imagine a more beautiful place to live that there on the Thames.

ReplyDeleteHello, what a pretty spot. I love the reflections and the lovely trees. Sorry, you missed the Autumn colors. Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reflections! I particularly like the swans - there are a couple of remnant populations of imported mute swans down here, but our native Aussie swans are black so the white ones look impossibly ethereal!!
ReplyDeleteYou picked a lovely day to make that return trip.
ReplyDeleteOn another topic, I'm reading a book about Belvoir Castle. Ever been there?
