Welcome to my blog

This is it! I've given up work -retired from the rat race and am about to start on a 10 year adventure, doing all those things I've been meaning to do but never had the time to do them. I've offloaded my responsibilities and it is now my time. So follow my adventures and see whether I actually manage anything!

  1. We certainly don't have those fancy Halloween chocolates in the US. I think I prefer those to the spiders and zombies and bloody bandages!
I think it's interesting that your brother the geologist's photos that spoke most to me are the rocky ones. I think his passion comes through!
Would have loved your company on my walk. It was only 3.5 miles though--you would have had to go around at least twice! :-)

  5. While Halloween was not part of our culture, it is becoming so. For the first year I have seen a couple of houses with decoration.

  13. Wow, you caught some really funny Halloween reflection in those display... It is so cool that the stores in Picadilly circus district played the game of decorating for Halloween in such a dramatic way... I love the skeletton dummies ; they looks quite better than the usual fashion dummie we are used to... ^^
