Welcome to my blog

This is it! I've given up work -retired from the rat race and am about to start on a 10 year adventure, doing all those things I've been meaning to do but never had the time to do them. I've offloaded my responsibilities and it is now my time. So follow my adventures and see whether I actually manage anything!

Umbrellas

Anyone for an umbrella? A very fitting display for our current weather.

Spotted near Borough Market.

  3. Looks like home (Oregon).... when we spent time in London our landlady was quite worried that we would be mad about the occasional rain (she had been to the US but only to Florida)...we told her that in Oregon where we were from it rained all winter long. (Really I think the climate there is a great deal like yours -- coastal mist and all that.) But now we live in Florida in the winter and so rain is less common.

  4. They look amazing and would play wonderfully with the sunlight - when it comes out to play!

  8. What a great installation. We don't usually use umbrellas here, if it's raining it's likely from a thunderstorm. I don't like walking around with a lightning rod in my hand!
