Welcome to my blog

This is it! I've given up work -retired from the rat race and am about to start on a 10 year adventure, doing all those things I've been meaning to do but never had the time to do them. I've offloaded my responsibilities and it is now my time. So follow my adventures and see whether I actually manage anything!

The Hungry spider

This was a much larger spider than I usually see in the garden.  As soon as the wasp got entangled in the web the spider pounced and carried it away.

Have been away (yes again!) and did not have internet access or even phone reception so will try and catch up with everyone soon. This time I was by the sea on the Northumberland coast, it was stunningly beautiful. At some point I will posts some of the photos.

  2. Oooh, a spider! And a good reason for not being around lately. Not a big thing, we all have lives separate from our computers, right? I look forward to seeing the pictures one day soon. :-)

  3. This is the time of year when one often walks into spider webs swinging from leaf to leaf everywhere. Wonder if it took notice of the chalk art activities on the pavement below. :)
