Thank you so much for all your kind comments. I took a short break from Blogland but returned to rewrite the Camden post. I don't think it is as good as the original when the trip was fresh in my mind but having all the photos helped me to reconstruct the missing post.
I am happy that you didn't give up blogging ! I have to say it helps me here to be in contact with the whole world and not only the castle residents, then I probably would become crazy. Since I began blogging, a lot of former bloggers have left or passed away. It seems to me that a lot of them switched over to Facebook or Instagram. But that is not the same. My cold is gone, but my COPD got worse with it.
ReplyDeleteAfter heart surgery a few years ago, I found my long term memory was largely intact but the short term memory was a disgrace. I call everyone Sweetheart so that forgetting their name won't seem so obvious :(
ReplyDeleteHowever blogging details need to be accurate, particularly photos and citations. So every photo from an overseas or interstate trip has to have its details recorded, on the very day the photos were taken. That way if I forget when we were last in Istanbul, Stockholm or Cape Town, at least the cathedrals and fortresses' names will be spot on.
That I can understand it is so frustrating when it happens. My Church Explorer blog takes a few days to write and get how I want and I would be really miffed if lost it all like you did. I cannot say it has not happened to be as it has on other blogs I have written. You did the right thing , walk away and come back later with a clear head.
