Kew Gardens

Although Kew Gardens is the other side of London and took a bus, two trains and a tube journey to get there, it was worth the effort. On a glorious sunny day I had a great time enjoying the greenery, plants and flowers.

I couldn't stop taking photos

The largest and smallest water lilies in the world.

Moroccan broom.

Bird of Paradise flower.

Far too many photos but I couldn't resist sharing them with you.

  1. I agree, it was really worthwhile to take a bus, two trains and a tube journey ! It's a beautiful place and all these flowers ! I still have a post to do about a castle which each year is open to the public and has wonderful flowers, but the most important once are tulips, it's huge and the flowerbeds are great ! I love "my" park here, it's strange I always loved to travel, but now, when I go out to a friend or to visit something, I am in a hurry to go back into my cozy home ! Btw are you happy now in your house, I think we should once talk to each other !

  7. The best part of Kew Gardens is its close proximity to the centre of London, and its short distance from the nearest railway station. I wish all large cities had allocated open greenery centuries ago!

  8. It really does seem that spring has sprung. I was in the UK in April and the weather was remarkable. I'm not 100% convinced this is a good thing.
    Hope all is well.
Cheers - Stewart M - just back in Melbourne!
