Not too far away is Bow Creek which flows into the river Thames with the buildings of Canning Town in the background. Two herons were hoping to catch something for lunch.

Do the herons move around, depending on the seasons? I have never seen one.
ReplyDeleteThe presence of herons presumably means that the river is clean enough to sustain edible life.

ReplyDeleteThere is one on our lake and we had one visit our garden a while back which I assumed was the one from the lake as it's so nearby.

It is hard to get close ups of wild life with a phone. It is great to see such lovely birds in the city.
