Street art

I am always amazed by the art that adorns some of the back streets around London. Here is a selection from some of my recent walks around the East  End. I have no information about the artists or the pieces of work. So you will need to judge for yourself.

  7. Love the animals, don't understand the others, but that's OK because art does not have to be understood by everybody. It isn't even supposed to be.

  13. the first on is by Mr Shiz who is originally from France and graduated from George Sand art college in France. He then moved to London in 1998 where he still currently resides. The second one is by Zabou come on the scene in 2012 with her stencil based art. Originally from France but based in London, her work can be found all over the East End, one of the world’s top places to see high quality street art. The third one looks like Irishman Conor Harrington's work. The forth is by Dave Okimshayy. The last may by Martin Ron.

  14. I have to say I have a bit of a fondness for this type of steer art - we have some in the more 'central' areas of Melbourne - I feel a project coming on!

  15. Like you say, much street art is of great quality. I hope that these people have more established outlets for their work as well.
